Carbon
MRV evidence for agricultural and agroforestry carbon projects.
Now in beta. Carbon is a digital MRV platform for smallholder agroforestry carbon projects: offline field capture of parcels and trees, a reproducible carbon engine that deducts for uncertainty, Plan Vivo and Verra VM0047 baselines, and a hash-chained audit trail behind every credit. Built and deployed; we are selecting the first pilot project — register interest to be one.
Job in the service: Future review type, once the core service is proven. Existing obligations are met; expansion is deferred.
MRV evidence for agricultural and agroforestry carbon projects.
Carbon applies the same idea as the rest of our work — capture data once, keep its provenance, turn it into evidence that holds up when an auditor asks "how do you know?" — to the hardest evidence problem in the sector: proving that trees on smallholder land are real, growing, and not already counted somewhere else.
Field agents capture parcel boundaries, tree measurements and photographs on a phone that works without a network, with free, prior and informed consent and land-tenure evidence recorded as a crediting precondition. A reproducible carbon engine turns measurements into CO₂e through verified allometry, runs a Monte Carlo confidence interval, and deducts for uncertainty before a buffer is applied. Plan Vivo and Verra VM0047 baselines are both implemented. Every parcel is checked for spatial overlap against internal and external registries before issuance, and every record sits in a hash-chained audit log anyone can verify. Farmers are paid their share by mobile money.
The platform is built, tested and deployed. What it does not yet have is a pilot with a real project and a validation body — which is the point at which trust is earned rather than asserted. If you develop agroforestry carbon projects, verify them, or represent the cooperatives whose land they stand on, register interest via the contact form and we will talk about being first.
Beta — built and deployed, first pilot pending. The software is done; the proof is not. We are choosing one project to run end to end with a validation body before wider release. Use the contact form to register interest in being that project.

Who actually uses Carbon.
Carbon-project developers
Building project evidence in agriculture or agroforestry, and assembling MRV documentation by hand today.
Auditors & verifiers
Reviewing project claims against the underlying field data — same source records, independently checkable.
Cooperatives & land managers
Holding the field data carbon projects depend on, and wanting its provenance kept intact end to end.
